Beautiful Pair of Celtic Bronzed Wall Plaques

Hand made in Ireland of resin with a beautiful bronzed finish. These are a quality item for decorating your home. They also make a nice housewarming gift.

We found these in Dublin at the craft show, and were struck at once by how nice they were.

Celtic Brass Doorknockers

The solid brass door-knockers at left are made in Ireland; these are a wonderful way to greet your visitors! (They know that there will be a warm Celtic welcome inside.) See our Irish Gifts page for a description of these.

Decorative interior doorknocker studs. These are round brass covers designed to conceal the doorknocker fixing nuts on the back side of the door (for the doorknockers above). See our Irish Gifts page for a description.

Celtic Window Stickers

The beautiful Celtic window stickers shown are printed on clear plastic; to attach them, you dip the sheet in soapy water and press onto the glass. Since these aren't actually sticky, they are reusable. These are nice for house windows or your car. From left to right:

Mini Harps
For decorations or toys

CG5A. The Lily model table harp. This little harp is smaller than the Baby Harp below. Made by the same firm out of rosewood, 15" tall, 8 strings. These now have a beautiful Celtic interlace carving on both sides of the soundbox. This makes a nice child's gift, or a fine centerpiece for your St. Patrick's Day party buffet. $39

Measurements: 15" tall, 7 3/4" deep, base 5 3/8" wide x 2 3/4" deep.

CG5B. Baby Celtic harp to grace your table or mantlepiece, or child's toy (we gave one to our baby granddaughter!). There are even musicians who are playing medieval music on this harp, although we caution you that this is not large enough to play as a real harp. This beautiful little harp is 21" tall, 12" deep, base 6 1/2" wide by 3 3/4" deep, made of rosewood and mahogany, with Celtic knotwork carving along both sides of the soundbox. Weighs about 3 1/2 lb. Musicians: it has 12 strings (they actually play); the bottom note is F above middle C. (No sharping levers.) Comes with tuning key. $85

CG5D. Sale! Three-legged rosewood display table. The round top has a diameter of 15"; table is 16" high overall. Table only: was $45, now  $36. We are discontinuing this item and have only one left.

Desk-Style Book or Music Stand

CGS6. This beautiful rosewood stand will display music, photos or anything else (you could use it for your cookbook  in the kitchen). Carved tree-of-life design on the center panel. Sits on a flat surface anywhere, and folds up into itself when not in use (see photo below). Rosewood, matte finish. Size when set up: 18" wide x 9" deep x 13" high. Weight: 9 lb. $85

At left we show the CG6 desk music stand folding up into itself. When all folded, it looks like a plain wooden box.

Books For History and Ancient Costume Buffs

CG7A. Life In Celtic Times by Smith and Kaufman. This coloring book contains over forty black-and-white drawings depicting the daily life and culture of the ancient Celtic people. The scenes span the time period from 700 B.C. to 700 A.D., accompanied by  informative, fact-filled captions for each drawing. Anyone interested in the history of the Celts will find this an excellent, abbreviated pictorial history of the Celts. This is a Dover coloring book, 8 1/2 x 11" size. $4

CG7B. Celtic Fashions by Tierney. You want to make a costume from the period of the ancient Celts? This is the book to have! The well-researched coloring book documents more than 4,000 years of Celtic fashions and is a font of dress information. Forty-five black-and-white drawings, plus five full-cover drawings on the covers. This is a Dover book. 8 1/2" x 11" in size. $4

Brass Celtic Cross Letter Opener

CG15. A letter opener is called a "paper knife" in Celtic lands. Whatever you call it, we guarantee that it will open your letters equally well. This is a heavy, handsome piece, and makes a nice desk accoutrement. 9" long. Made in Ireland. $22

Celtic Pewter Letter Opener

CG8. Excalibur letter opener. A handsome, heavyweight piece, really high quality. Made in Cornwall, presented in a nice satin-lined box.  There is a purple crystal at top of handle.
7 3/4" long. $33 We have just one of these left.

WS9. Etched brass Celtic cross bookmark is 5 1/2" x 1 3/16". The bookmark appears black in the photo, but this is because of a photography problem. It is in fact silver- or brass-colored. $4



 

Celtic Hound Magnet

CG10. Rectangular magnet has a Celtic hound design on it. Made of resin in Scotland. Size: 3 1/4  x 1 1/4". We have just three of these left @ $4 each.

12A,B,C,D.We found a few of these flat rubber magnets on the shelf, and are offering them at $3 each. 1 7/8" diameter.

Celtic Cross-Stitch Kits

Cross-stitch kits by Elizabeth Myfanwy Clough. These include white mesh background, embroidery thread, plus a beige mat for framing. We have just a few of these.
