Hammered Dulcimer and Mountain Dulcimers
DU1. American hammered dulcimer. 2 1/2 octaves,
46 strings, 12 courses of strings on the left and 11 courses on the right. The body is
solid rosewood; soundboard is mahogany veneer plywood with rods under the soundboard for
extra strength and improved tone Movable bridges. Size: 36" long, 14 1/2" wide,
2 1/2" deep. Weight: 18 lb. Includes two sets of hammers, tuning key, extra strings,
tuning chart. $325
Carrying case, below, is sold separately.
Note: if you are new to the hammered dulcimer, tuning all those 46 strings can seem like quite a job. We recommend that you find another player to help you with this at first. We do not take this instrument back because of tuning difficulties.
An adjustable rosewood stand (for sitting or standing to play) is available for $140.

DU2. Four-string mountain dulcimer. Rosewood,
knot- work cutouts in soundboard, satin finish on body. Has 18 frets, with extra frets at
6 1/2 and 13 1/2 positions. Size: 34 1/2" long, 7" widest point, 2" deep.
