Welsh Teatowels
These are cotton, unless otherwise noted. Size: about 29 1/2" long by 18 3/4" wide.

WT01. Welsh flag. Nice bright colors, properly fierce dragon outlined in black. $7

WT02. Historical Wales map. Shows locations of castles, battles, abbeys and other historical sites. Green and blue colors. $7 Out of stock.
WT03. Towns and Villages map. An attractive design with a drawing of the main feature (castle, mountain or whatever) at each locality. Beige and blue colors. $7
WT04. The Counties of Wales. Shows the borders of the old counties before the present lines were drawn. Drawings of train, castles, lady spinner, flags, and heraldic shields. Red border, beige and blue colors. $7

WT05. Welsh Language/ Harpist. Features a young lady in Welsh costume playing a harp; all around her are drawings of items labelled in Welsh. Dark green border. $7
WT06. Great Little Trains of Wales. Map of Wales showing the routes of the old narrow-gauge railways, plus drawings of trains all around. Avocado green border. Men especially like this teatowel as a wall hanging for the den. $7
WT08. Welsh Dresser. Shows a traditional dresser with the blue/white dishes neatly arranged. There are two Welsh-costumed ladies: one is just in from the market, and the other is spinning. Red border. $7

WT09. Wales Heritage and Tradition. An outdoors country scene. In the foreground is a Welsh costumed lady at a spinning wheel. The background shows cottages, a mill with water wheel, geese, sheep and a horse-drawn wagon bringing sheaves from the field. Dark green border. $7 Out of stock.
WT10A.  Traditional Welsh Recipes. This one has pretty flowers all around the recipes, which are: Baked Trout, Currant Bread, Chicken and Leek Soup, Apple Cake, Blackberry Pudding, Welsh Rarebit, Rabbit Stew, and Anglesey Batter Cake. Pale beige background has light brown lines in it to look like wood grain. $7
WT10B. Traditional Welsh Recipes. Glamorgan Pie, Anglesey Batter Cake, Leek and Parsley broth, Laverbread, Pickled Herrings. Dark brown border and background. $7
WT10C. (Shown at left.) Victorian Recipes of Wales. Victorian household and garden items are sprinkled over a pale background (there are some interesting antiques!). The recipes are Welsh Cakes, Honeyed Welsh Lamb, Welsh Trout in Bacon, Welsh Cinnamon Cake, and Snowdon Pudding. $7 Out of stock.

WT11. Colorful Welsh motto on shield pattern translates "The Red Dragon Leads the Way." $7

Welsh Flag Face Cloth

WT12. In Wales, this is called a face flannel, but it is made of terry cloth. This would be a real show stopper in your bathroom. Also could be put under a pot or vase, or under your table centerpiece. 12" square. $4

Welsh Aprons

The barbeque aprons below are made of sturdy plasticized fabric, with black twill waist ties and black twill neck ribbon (the black twill doesn't show up in the pictures). Size of the aprons, not including ties: 31" high x 21" wide.

Welsh Totes

The tote bags below match the two aprons above, and are made of the same sturdy plasticized fabric. We think that an apron/tote pair would make nice his'n hers gifts for a couple. (You decide who gets the apron and who gets the tote!) All tote sizes are of the tote itself, not including handles.

WT16(far left). Welsh language/harpist tote bag has the same design both front and back. Size of tote, not including handles, is 19" high x 14 1/4" wide. This is a flat-style tote. Plasticized fabric. $12
WT17 (immediate left). Wales symbols tote bag displays harpist, castles, male choir, spinner, train, flag etc., with the same design on the front and back. Size of tote, not including handles, is 16" high x 14" wide. This tote is especially roomy because it has a 4" gusset around the sides and bottom, making this a 3-D bag. Plasticized fabric. $12

WT18. Map of Wales surrounded by heraldic shields from various cities. 19" high x   14 1/4" wide. Flat style. Plasticized fabric. $12

WT19. Welsh squares tote, the same design as the tea cosy and oven mitt WT22 and WT23 shown below: dragon, harp, castle, daffodils, lovespoons, train, three feathers, etc. Plasticized fabric, flat style. Size 19" high x 14 1/4" wide.   $12

WT20. Wales canvas tote bag is made of natural canvas with the red and green design shown. Red webbing handles are 24" long (you can carry this on your shoulder if you like); the bag is a roomy 18" wide by 14" high and 3 1/2" wide at the bottom. $10.

WT21. This very nice canvas tote has wooden handles and a 5" red gusset (side) piece, making this tote 3-dimensional, not flat like the others. You can set it down and it will stand by itself. 15 1/2" square. $12

Oven Mitt

WT23.Cotton oven mitt has quilted insulated lining and hanging loop, same design front and back: dragon, harp, castle, daffodils, lovespoons, train, three feathers, etc. Washable. 12" long, not including loop. $8

The tote WT20 above matches this oven mitt.

Welsh Kitchen Set: Potholder, Oven Mitt, Hand Towel

WT24A. Three-piece kitchen set: potholder, oven mitt and terry hand towel. The hand towel and oven mitt display the same large dragon as the potholder, plus an all-over design of dragons, harps, leeks and daffodils. (Oven mitt and potholder are plain red on the back.) Only $10 for the set.

Welsh Dragon Shorts

Sale! WT26A. Dragon shorts made in Wales in the Welsh flag colors. We show front and back views; as you see, they look about the same coming or going. High-quality nylon, with white nylon lining. We guarantee that if you go running in these at night, no car will run you down! Note that how much of the shorts the dragon covers may depend a bit on the size; the ones shown are a 36. Elasticized waist; some have drawstring and some do not. We suggest that you tell us your waist size (men) or seat size(ladies). Available in waist sizes 36" to 42". Were $34, now $25.

Welsh Dragon Dress

Sale! WT26B. Dragon sheath dress is made in Wales. It features a wraparound dragon that will stop everyone in their tracks. Left photo shows the front and right photo shows the back; how much of the dress the dragon covers will depend somewhat on size. (The dress shown is a British 14, which is more like an American 12.) Good-quality nylon fabric, with white nylon lining. There is a zipper down one side. We suggest that you give us your measurements when picking one of these. Available in British 12, 16 and 18.Was $42, now $35.
(If you are not sheath shaped - not all of us are - you could open up the sides of the skirt, and wear a white under skirt with this dress over top.)

Welsh Dragon Bandana

WT28. Dragon bandana is made of cotton, 21" square. Can be used in various ways besides around your neck, such as a table centerpiece, wall hanging or whatever. $5

Welsh Wool Table Runners

WT29A. Welsh wool table runners. A runner is a piece of fabric that is laid lengthwise down the center of the table to decorate it. Welsh tapestry is a traditional jacquard-woven reversible wool fabric in distinctive designs and colors. Size 58" long x 7 1/2" wide, including fringe. Beige/dark brown mix (see below) $20

(Although we show a red/green runner in the photo at left, we do not have any in this color.)

WT29B. Set of Welsh placemats. The beautiful fabric is traditional reversible Welsh tapestry, woven in red, blue and black colors at the Rock-Mills woollen mill in Wales. The two sides of the fabric are shown at left; these placemats can be used with either side up. Size of each placemat: 14 x 10". Set of 4 placemats for $29

Welsh Harp Knit Sweater Scarf and Ski Cap

Harp knits, made in Wales of soft acrylic yarn on a hand knitting machine by Mary Griffiths Baldwin.
WT30. Sweater. We have only two left. One measures 36" around the bust, and the other 37". Was $42, now $30.
WT31. Scarf. Double thickness, in patriotic red, white and blue. 66" long, not including the fringe. $12
WT32. Ski cap. The bottom inches are double knit, and turn up to form a cuff. Because the knit is so stretchy, this cap will fit pretty well any head. $9
